Mahesh Babu's 1 is all set to release for coming Pongal, January 10th to be precise. Mahesh confirmed that the movie will release by that date and fans are very much excited about this high budget action extravaganza. Kriti Sanon is playing the female lead in this film. This is her debut on silver screen.
Firstly Tamanna was considered for this role and later Kajal was signed up. Despite shooting for few days, Kajal walked out of it due to dates problem. Then the makers have signed up a brand new girl Kriti for this prestigious film. Everyone is expecting this 'discovery' to be the next best thing in Tollywood. Currently there is dearth of heroines and many films are suffering due to it.
Can Kriti fill up the void and be there for few years? Can she be the next Ileana/Samantha? Going by the first look of hers we don't think that she can score big in Telugu cinema. She is a six footer and not many of our superstars match her in height.
Mahesh, Prabhas and Rana are few heroes that can be paired up with her. However, with the glimpses we got Kriti may not be able to up to the tastes of Telugu audience.
